Who needs boxing gloves when you have oven mitts? With all of the pageantry, competition and suspense of the original Iron Chef series, Iron Chef America: The Series carries on the legend of Kitchen Stadium and the famed "secret ingredient" as it pits some of North America's favourite chefs against the inspired food wizardry of Iron Chefs Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, Masaharu Morimoto and Cat Cora. In each challenge competitors vie for supremacy as they battle the clock and each other to create a four-star meal containing the mystery ingredient revealed at the beginning of each episode. Rounding out the Kitchen Stadium are Alton Brown (Good Eats), who serves as the commentator, the Chairman, Mark Dacascos, and Kevin Brauch (The Thirsty Traveler) who keeps the action going while reporting from the floor of Kitchen Stadium. |
