Project Runway Canada is an exciting new reality series that gives viewers a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective into the creative process of fashion design.Twelve talented and hungry fashion designers are given the opportunity of a lifetime – a chance to break in to the notoriously exclusive fashion industry. To earn this honour they must compete in a series of challenges that will determine who has what it takes to be the next “it” designer. Our Host heads a panel of industry insiders who will judge the talent and skills of the budding designers, while our mentor provides constructive criticism of their designs along the way. In each episode one designer is eliminated, until the field is whittled down to only three finalists who will design a collection to show in front of Canada's fashion community. Ultimately one designer will claim their rightful place in the spotlight, winning the top prize including $100,000 to begin their own fashion line and a feature spread showing their winning collection in the pages of the country’s foremost fashion magazine. |
