The Delta Optimist has been providing residents of Ladner, South Delta / Tsawwassen and the surrounding rural lands with the most accurate, comprehensive coverage of news, sports, and community events since 1922 and is an integral part of the Delta lifestyle, being referenced and quoted on a daily basis.
Over the years, The Optimist has won numerous awards spanning all aspects of the publication including writing, photography, layout, design and advertising. The awards include many for Best Overall Newspaper in both BC and Canada.
Sponsorships include Delta Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards, Tour de Delta, Delta Hospital Foundation events, Rotary Clubs auction and wine gala, Dry Grad programs, school scholarships and various sports teams to name a few.
